Distance swimmer and three-time member of the Bay’s Girls’ Varsity Swim team, junior Katja Milevska is a hardworking athlete who strives to succeed in her sport. On top of daily practice in which Milevska commits herself to in-the-pool training, she also goes to the gym. Milevska said she likes to show up for herself and keep herself dedicated to her sport.
“Making it to states and making the most out of each practice and meet keeps me motivated. I love my school and club teammates and having fun at practice keeps me determined to continue showing up and pushing myself.”
This year at the Broward County Athletic Association championship, Milevska secured sixth place in the 100 Breaststroke and achieved a best time in the 100 Butterfly with a 1:02.06. As a member of the Bay’s State qualifying 200 Medley Relay, Milevska said that getting to see her friends and coaches every day during practice always lifts her mood.
“I am most proud of my teammates and our relay team because we have been so optimistic and determined to make it back to states again this year.”
