“I have learned so much on and off the court.”
Senior Noah Anderson has had a passion for sports ever since he was young. Growing up watching sports on the television with his father, Anderson grew to love the heat of a game. Taking inspiration from Boston Celtics #4, Isaiah Thomas, Anderson began his own career in basketball. For the 2025-26 season, Anderson averages 6 points per game and allows the Bay to stretch the floor as defenders consistently need to watch out for him on the court.
“What motivates me to keep playing are my teammates and coaches. A lot of my friends I have been playing with I have known since 4th and 5th grade so I have really built bonds with them,” Anderson said. “As for my coaches, they have been a huge part of my success since I transferred to Cypress Bay for sophomore year.”
Anderson hopes to help the Bay advance far this season and win their first state championship. Looking ahead, Anderson said that has gained much from playing basketball and would like to take his career beyond the sport. He aspires to gain a deeper understanding of the inner workings of college athletics and has already begun expanding his goals beyond basketball with the launching of his own fundraiser to assist college athletes as they market their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
“I have done a fundraiser to bring basketball to my home country, Ethiopia and raised over $3,000,” Anderson said. “I want to do sports management in college and eventually get a job as a general manager of a college’s basketball or football NIL fund.”
