JUNIOR 5’8″
“The most rewarding thing about playing basketball is seeing all my hard work paying off.”
Junior Addyson Miller has been playing basketball since it sparked her interest at just five years old. Growing up, Miller loved playing sports, she told her mom that she wanted to join basketball and has not dropped the ball since. Her highest scoring game was 18 points and 15 rebounds. As a junior in high school, Miller lives a busy day to day lifestyle and juggles many responsibilities between school and the many sports she participates in.
“Since I have been playing for so long now, I have found that finding the balance between basketball, school and everything else, is just making sure you have good time management,” Miller said. “Time management is extremely important for me because without it, I would be procrastinating my entire to-do list and would end up very stressed and not focused on basketball or school.”
Oftentimes being successful in sports is usually defined by the points and statistics you receive from games. However, some people have one person who helps them gain confidence and is their main source of drive. Miller says her mother inspires her the most on and off the court.
“My mom is truly the most amazing person in the world. She is the most selfless person I know and never gives up on anything. She is unlike any other and I hope I can try and be just like her,” Miller said. “I think the most rewarding thing about playing basketball is seeing all my hard work paying off during practices and games.”
